My blogging life went on a total halt when I started getting more involved in esthetics school in May. I made a few posts here and there, but once all the studying and longs days at school started taking over I had to make a decision. School became my priority and some might say that I don’t love writing if I was willing to give it a break, but I say now that I am educated in a field I have more to write about.
Where do I begin?? I started school May 2017 and have been on the grind ever since! My school schedule is 8:45-5:00 Monday through Friday (all the way up until recently… I’ll explain later.) I attend The Skin Institute : School of Massage and Esthetics, located in southern Utah. Since May I have learned A LOT! Acne treatments, facials, hot stone treatments, all body waxing, and have been an assistant to a plastic surgeon and dermatologist. Needless to say, I have been very busy! I know myself and I did what was best for me. I am now currently working as a private contractor at a spa, and attending the Student Teaching program at TSI to gain my instructors license to be eligible for teaching esthetics if I choose to.
Other than school, I don’t have a lot to share. I haven’t been apart of any collaborations, and haven’t been taking a lot of pictures. (Mostly because in esthetics school you do a lot to your face! So, wearing makeup is a no because you just end up taking it off.) I wish that I could video at school, but that’s not aloud and I spend 8 hours a day there. I don’t think anyone wants to see a video of me driving my car to and from school, wearing the same color scrubs.
Me and Sean have been looking for a place to live. We have been at his parents house for a while now. So, we’ll see where that goes. We looked at buying a lot and building, we looked at apartments and now we are looking at renting a house. It’s all up in the air.
